ABSTRACT The burnout variable has been studied in different professions; however, it presents challenges its measurement. present study provides evidence of validity based on the internal structure Burnout Syndrome Assessment Scale Public Security Workers (EASB-SP) and estimation item parameters through Item Response Theory (IRT). A total 10,885 public security agents from all states Brazil participated study. analyses indicated a three-factor structure, with adequate reliability indices discrimination items.
